Operation: Forgive

Hell operates by hate.  There is no doubt about that.  What keeps hell unified and organized is their hate for God and His creation.  Our world has been infiltrated by this spirit.  People against people.  Race against race.  People against God.  Hate.

Contrasting this is God’s command to His believers; that you love your neighbor as yourself.  One mark of the end-time is that men will be lovers of their own-selves.  But this love won’t be directed toward their brother.  Therefore, this love unreleased produces selfishness.  God’s church has a mandate to counteract the spirit of hell and the age we live in.  We are to love one another.  Love to … your brother is what the bible commands.  Not love for, but love to.  Love to, can only be manifested by expression.  It is a verb.  Action.

One of the greatest ways to express love is through forgiveness.  It is totally contrary to normal human reaction.  Forgiveness is our counteraction to hate.  To forgive is to spread Jesus’ Fame.  To forgive allows you to be blessed as a peacemaker.  Remember that Jesus on the cross didn’t wait for the crowd to ask for forgiveness, He just offered it.  Father forgive them, for they know not what they do.  Be the first to make amends.

In II Corinthians 2:10, Paul talks about forgiveness five times.  Five is the bible number for grace.  Grace and forgiveness always go together.  Paul gives the reason for forgiveness in the very next verse.  He says, lest Satan should get an advantage of us.  We forgive to be like Jesus, and to thwart the devices of Hell.  Forgiveness brings a protection to us.

Let’s make Jesus Famous by being a people that live in, and live out forgiveness.
