Our ways- His work

This is Part 10 of the A Luke 10 Moment series.

Luke 10:1-13

Don’t you appreciate the diversity of ministry that we have in the body of Christ? I love church – period. I love traditional, contemporary, older, younger, wild, etc. I just love being a part of the church.

Each community has it’s own culture, therefore you must minister to them accordingly. Our methodology isn’t mandated in scripture. Our message is set in stone, not our methodology. So you may visit a plethora of churches and each one will have it’s own indigenous identity. Some preach in robes, others in suits, and some in casual attire. As long as they are true to the message – who cares?

In the above passage of scripture, Jesus instructed the disciples to go their ways. Notice that Jesus used plural terminology here. Each group was reaching a different place, therefore, there would be many different ways that they accomplished their assignments.

Jesus understands that it takes many different styles to reach many different sinners. Maybe we should be more understanding when it comes to other believers methodology. If the bible makes little of the matter, maybe we should as well. We have a changeless gospel- with changing methods of presenting it.

So go your ways – and He will work!
