Greener Houses?

This is Part 7 of the A Luke 10 Moment series.

Luke 10:1-11

In the above text, Jesus gave some strict instructions. He told His disciples to find houses that were hungry for Jesus. Once they found a place to minister; Jesus told them to stay there. Don’t go from house to house. Stay.

One of the blessings of preaching for my friends in Alaska, is the deep appreciation I get from recognizing their faithfulness to the place they have been called to minister. For instance, my father pastors in a city of 3,500 people. So it’s doubtful that he will ever pastor 25,000 people. But he is faithful and committed to the place of his calling. And God is blessing his church with great demonstrations of His Spirit.

One of the key principles to kingdom ministry is finding a place of ministry and sticking with it. If you are a part of ConnectPoint – plan on staying. Commit yourself to Spokane and watch what God will do with your faithfulness.

A greener pastures mentality is devastating to a church and to a believers personal growth. Every believer needs to find a church that preaches Jesus, worships Jesus, and lives like Jesus. And once they find that church – stay there. Commit to the mission, the ministry, and the movement.

Greener houses aren’t in Jesus’ play book.
