Hide me.

I have been watching some footage shot by a man and his film crew in Israel. It is sure interesting to see what this holy land really looks like. Places like the tomb where Jesus was buried, the upper-room where the Holy Ghost fell for the first time, and the Sea of Galilee. I enjoy the images of this ancient place.

I know of one place they won’t have on their cameras. That place is the brook Cherith, where God hid Elijah. Elijah was the prophet that found himself on a hit list, written out by Jezebel, to be executed by Ahab. God hid Elijah in a place where ravens were his waiters, and God was his cook. It was a place where the water flowed even though the heavens were not raining. What a place!

Never doubt this kind of God. Circumstances can’t control His creativity. What He did way back then, He’ll do the same for you and me.

Amazingly, nobody knows where this magical place is. Soldiers combed the country side searching to no avail. Scholars can’t track it down. Bible dictionaries have nothing to say. The locals have no idea. Where is this place?

Let me tell you something about God.

When the cards are stacked against you. And your adversary is hunting you. God can protect and cover you to the extreme that 3,000 years later, still nobody will know where God hid you.

Psalm 91:1 – He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
