I received a text message this morning at 4 a.m. Number one, I don’t have a brain that works that early. Number two, I don’t even have the Holy Ghost till at least 6 a.m.
The text was from my twin brother, in it he told me his wife was pregnant. I was of course elated. Then twenty seconds later, he texted back, “April Fools”. Let down of the year. Those twenty seconds were very thrilling. But they were followed by big disappointment. Of course I fell for it. I blame the morning grogginess, but nevertheless, I succumbed to a good old fashioned April fools joke.
One thing I do know about God: He never lets you down. When you are awakened in the morning with the feeling that God is going to do great things in your life, you know that He will. If He speaks a promise to you, it will come to pass.
Don’t allow the tendency for human letdown to affect your faith in God. If He said it, start looking for your miracle. Go ahead and wake up your spouse and tell them the good news. Go ahead and post on Facebook what you feel God is going to do through you. His promise is a promise that you can stand on.
